Stay Far Far Away from these kinds of websites. The only reason this one is listed here is to be an example of what never to buy. You know why? .... Copyright .... You can be damn sure someone paid lots of money for those pictures for their website and will not like it if they find out that someone copied their pictures and is using them to make money.
I think copy law allows individuals to trade the pictures but not to use them to make money, just when the site starts to get popular and produce returns, it will get shut down and you might even get sued.
If you really want to buy a fan site like this, make sure that the ovner has permission to show the pictures.

WOW ... check this guy out ... instead of just telling us hes ok with the copyright he gets really defensive ... aka does not have rights

You seem to be making assumptions along with bookatechie which makes you look like thread trashers instead of community members.

Show me specifically which images you feel are protected under copyrights and then by all means contact the owner and report them ... you will only look stupid in the longrun ... all of the images on this site are ones I've been using for years that are either public domain or I've obtained permissions for during building collaborative partnerships with other entities for usage on other sites. bookatechie went so far as to make a libelous post on a forum he owns, making a factual statement that is not true ... if you don't have something positive to ask or add, then don't bother posting in someone's thread.

So I replied with some useful copyright info

I think if you want to have a good community, you should have members that look out for each other. How would you feel after spending $3200 on a website just to find out that you need to shut down for copyright violations? I think censoring our concerns about copyright might make you “look stupid in the long run”. All you had to do is let us know that you have obtained the publishers permission to use those pictures on your website for profits and we are good to go. By the way, how come you say you have been using these pictures for years if you only have the website since July? Instead now you are making a big deal about it and calling us liars, thread thrashers and bashing my forum, I thought you said don’t post if you don’t have anything positive to add.

Here are a few links to laws and rules about copyright ... just to back my "libelous post" from earlyer.
